Rich tributes paid to Jaipal Reddy on his 82nd birth anniversary
Leaders, his followers recalled the services rendered by the former union minister

Hyderabad: The 82nd birth anniversary of former union minister Sudini Jaipal Reddy was held on a grand scale on Tuesday at Spoorthi Sthal, his memorial place on Necklace Road in Hyderabad. His family members including the late leader’s brother S Padma Reddy, several politicians and his followers paid floral tributes to him on the occasion.
To mark the occasion, a programme was also organised to dedicate Spoorthi Sthal, a memorial which was built to honour the late leader and his legacy. S Jaipal Reddy Memorial Foundation organised the celebrations. The Telangana government also made arrangements for the celebrations. Telangana Assembly SpeakerGaddam Prasad Kumar, Telagana Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, ThummalaNageshwar Rao and Pongulati Srinivas Reddy recalled the services rendered by Jaipal Reddy. In his speech, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that Mahabubnagar district should be named after the departed leader.
Others who paid floral tributes to Jaipal Reddy included Mrs Geetha, wife of Chief MinisterAnumulaRevanth Reddy, former minister and senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy and TRS leader Keshava Rao.
Known for his no-nonsense politics, Jaipal Reddy, who passed away on July 28, 2019 at the age of 77 years, was honoured with Outstanding Parliamentarian Award for the year 1998. He was elected to erstwhile undivided AP Assembly four times. He was MP multiple times and also served as Union Minister, handling several key portfolios.
